Valley of flowers trek begins at Haridwar railway station, you will be picked up by our representative who will guide to to the ready vehicles to start the first leg of the journey i.e. drive to Govindghat , all day we will drive along the beautiful alaknanda river, if time allows you can visit devprayag and rudraprayag on the way, the decision will be of the trek leader.
your lunch will arraged on the way at a scenic spot, nestled at the banks of Alaknanda river govindghat is the starting point of the trek also, the group will halt overnight here, ample time to relax and walk through the small market and a beautiful bridge.
Distance – 13 kms | Journey – 08-10 hrs by Trekking
You may take ponies or Porter. helicopter is accessible too. In any case, you can’t rely upon Helicopter as flying of Helicopter relies on climate conditions. It could conceivably fly on a specific day.

Visit to the highest sikh pilgrimage, Shri hemkund sahib gurudwara is a treat inclusion in the valley of flowers trek itinerary, The majestic lake is situated at an elevation of 15,200 fts above sea level near the hemkund sahib gurudwara.
the lake offers beautiful views of himalayan peaks & glaciers surrounding the Glacial lake, also a variety of rare flowers like blue poppy and Brahmakamal can be seen around the hills while trekking near the the lake.
Enjoy the supper offered by the gurudwara, later we trek back to the valley of flowers base camp at Ghangariya Village.

Early morning depart from the Ghangariya – Valley of flowers trek base, we will try to reach govindghat by lunch time, post lunch hop into jeeps and drive to Badrinath Town. its a beautiful drive you will see waterfalls, and glaciers on the way alongside roaring alaknanda river.
Check into the hotel upon arrival at Badrinath town, bath in the serene spiritual presence of the holy town Badrinath Ji, which is one of the four Dham in India, and one of the most spiritual center in India.
later we will walk or drive to Mana – the last village of India, visit the origin of sarsawati river which disappears after this point and later only seen at Allahabad.

Distance – 320 kms | Journey – 10-12 hrs by Road
This is a day ago of the outing. After an early takeoff from Badrinath, you can eat and lunch while in transit to Haridwar. You will achieve the goal by night. This is the place we disappear and the outing finishes up with awesome recollections.
we will depart very early morning around 5:30 am to avoid any delays due to any landslides or traffic jams, on the way to make it to Haridwar on time for your onward journey.
the journey can be a little tiring but our team will arrange your breakfast and lunch at scenic spots to provide some nice breaks.

Important information about Valley Of Flower :
The Valley of flowers trek is only possible from the beginning of June until the end of September, as rest of the year the valley remains covered in snow. The best time to do the valley of flowers trek will be from mid-July to end of august.
It is not advisable to visit the valley of flowers before July as there are hardly any flowers, though the valley is lush green decorated by the beautiful Himalayan mountains.
Similarly, if you visit valley of flowers after august the color of the valley changes from greenish to yellowish and flowers slowly die, & in September the weather is most clear but the flowers in the valley are almost dead.
The temperature at Ghangariya (Base camp near the valley of flowers) always remains very cold during mornings and evening during all these months.
By road: Govindghat is the last road-head and also the starting point of the trek, Ghangariya base camp is at a distance of 12 kms from Govind ghat.
Via train: Haridwar junction is the closest railway station, at a Road distance of 294 kms from Govindghat, Starting point of the valley of flowers trek.
Air travel: Closest airport to valley of flowers is Dehradun, however now helicopter services are also operated from Govind ghat, starting point of the trek.
The entry fee to visit valley of flowers is 650 INR for foreigner and 150 rupees for an Indian for a 3 day pass. However, each additional day will be charged at 250 inr for foreigner and 50 rupees for an Indian national to visit valley of flowers. All money is payable in cash at a forest post near ghangariya village just before the valley of flowers trek begins.
Since, Valley of flowers is an eco sensitive zone and to prevent trekkers and livestock too much of a toll on the park, Access to valley of flowers is restricted only to daylight hours from 7 am to 5 pm, entry window at the forest post at the stating of valley of flowers closes at 2 pm, Last entry can only be made by 2 pm to the valley.
