day 1
Rishikesh → Govindghat

Distance: 270 km • Travel Time: 7-8 hrs
Elevation: 1,828 m / 6,151 ft

Your adventure begins at Rishikesh Railway Station, where an Incredible Outdoors representative welcomes you and guides you to the waiting vehicles. From here, the scenic drive to Govindghat begins.

Throughout the journey, you’ll drive along the beautiful Alaknanda River, passing through charming mountain towns and lush landscapes. If time allows, the trek leader may stop at Devprayag and Rudraprayag, two sacred confluences known for their natural and spiritual beauty.

A delicious lunch will be arranged en route at a picturesque spot.
By evening, you’ll reach Govindghat, the starting point of the Valley of Flowers trek. After hotel check-in, you can explore the small market, walk across the stunning suspension bridge, and enjoy the mountain vibes. Overnight stay at Govindghat.

Govindghat → Ghangaria

Trek Distance: 14 km • Trek Time: 5–6 hrs
Elevation: Govindghat - 1,828 m / 5,997 ft → Ghangharia - 3,048 m / 10,000 ft

Today, your trek officially begins. You can choose to trek on foot or hire a pony, porter, or helicopter service (helicopter depends on weather and may or may not operate).

The first 9 km follow the charming Pushpavati River, offering soothing views and plenty of places to rest. After lunch beside the river, you’ll cross a bridge and begin a slightly steeper 4 km climb to reach Ghangharia. The total elevation gain is around 1.5 km.

By evening, you’ll arrive at Ghangharia, a peaceful village surrounded by dense forests. Relax, visit the nearby waterfall, enjoy the cool mountain breeze, and spot rare Himalayan birds and tailless rats if you’re lucky. Overnight stay in Ghangharia.

Ghangaria → Valley Of Flowers → Ghangaria

Distance: 7 km round trip • Trek Time: 4 hrs
Elevation: 3,500 m - 3,962 m / 11,483-12,998 ft

A magical day awaits! After an early breakfast, we start our trek to the Valley of Flowers. Starting early gives us more time to explore and witness the valley’s changing colours throughout the day.

Right after you cross the forest check post, you’ll notice a sudden shift in vegetation. A pleasant walk brings you to the beautiful bridge over the Pushpavati River, followed by a 1.5 km steep climb that opens up into the iconic valley.

As you enter the valley, prepare to be amazed by endless meadows filled with rare flowers, snow-clad peaks, and a peaceful silence that feels heavenly. Take your time to soak in the beauty, meditate, click photos, shoot videos, or simply sit and enjoy nature.

Our flora and fauna expert will guide you through different flower varieties, stories, and unique features of this UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, we will return to Ghangharia for dinner and rest.

Ghangaria → Hemkund Sahib → Ghangaria

Distance: 5 km (one way) • Trek Time: 3 hrs
Elevation: 4,632 m / 15,200 ft

Today we trek to the high-altitude Sikh pilgrimage site Shri Hemkund Sahib. The trail is steep but extremely rewarding.

At the top, you’ll be welcomed by the serene and sacred Hemkund Lake, surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks and glaciers. The crystal-clear water and peaceful environment create a powerful spiritual experience.

Around the lake, you may spot rare Himalayan flowers, including the famous Brahmakamal and Blue Poppy.

After visiting the Gurudwara and enjoying the warm langar (prasad meal), we trek back down to Ghangharia for the night.

Ghangaria → Govindghat → Badrinath

Trek Distance: 14 km • Trek Time: 5–6 hrs
Elevation: Govindghat - 1,828 m / 5,997 ft

We start early and descend back to Govindghat, aiming to reach by lunchtime. After lunch, we board jeeps for the drive to the holy town of Badrinath.

This is a beautiful road journey filled with waterfalls, glaciers, and incredible views of the roaring Alaknanda River.

After checking in, you can visit the Badrinath Temple, one of the Char Dhams of India, and experience its spiritual and peaceful atmosphere.

Later, we drive or walk to Mana Village, the last village of India near the Indo-Tibetan border. Here you can explore:

  • Origin of Saraswati River

  • Bheem Pul

  • Ganesh Gufa

  • Local tea shops and cozy cafés

  • Woollen markets for souvenir shopping

Overnight stay at Badrinath.

day 6
Badrinath → Rishikesh

Distance: 270 km • Travel Time: 7-8 hrs

This is your final day of the trip. We start early around 5:30 AM to avoid traffic jams or delays due to landslides. Breakfast and lunch will be arranged at scenic spots along the way to make the long drive comfortable.

By evening, we reach Rishikesh, where your beautiful journey with Incredible Outdoors ends full of memories, smiles, and new friendships.
